Polycom VVX 250 Quick Start Guide

Start using your Polycom VVX 250 with ease by following this quick guide for setup and key features.

How to Place a Call (several options):

  • Pick up the handset, enter the phone number, and press “Send.”
  • Press the headset button or the speakerphone button, enter the phone number, and press “Send.”
  • Enter the phone number, press “Dial,” and pick up the handset.
  • Press the line key, enter the number, and press “Send.”
  • Select “New Call,” enter the phone number, and press “Send.” 

 

How to Answer a Call (several options):

  • Speaker Phone: Select the “Answer” soft key or speaker phone button.
  • Handset: pick up the handset to answer the call.
  • Headset: press the headset button.

 

How to Hold & Resume a Call:

  • To Hold a Call: press the “Hold” soft key or press .
  • To Resume a Call: press the “Resume” soft key.

 

How to End a Call:

  • On a Handset: press the “End Call” soft key.
  • On a Headset: press
  • On a Speakerphone: press

 

How to Park a Call:

  1. While on a call, press the “Transfer” soft key OR the “Transfer” hard key This will place the call on hold.
  2. Dial the extension of the Call Park and press the “B. Transfer” soft key or the “Transfer” hard key.
  3. The call is now in the Call Park that you sent it to.
  4. To retrieve the call, dial the extension of the call park.

If you have your Call Parks assigned to your line keys:

  1. Select the line key for the call park to park the call.
  2. Select the line key for the call park where the call is parked to retrieve the call.

 

How to Perform a Blind Transfer:

  1. While on a call, press the “Transfer” soft key.
  2. Dial the desired phone number or extension. 
  3. Press the “Transfer” soft key again.

 

How to Perform an Attended Transfer:

  1. While on a call, press the “Transfer” soft key.
  2. Dial the desired phone number or extension.
  3. Wait for the party to announce that you are
  4. Transferring a call to them.
  5. Press the “Transfer” soft key to transfer the call.

 

How to Check Your Voicemail:

  1. Select “Messages” from the Home View or press the Messages button.
  2. Enter your PIN and press # and follow the prompts.

 

How to Forward Your Calls:

  1. Press the “Forward “soft key OR Press the Home button and press “Forward.”
  2. Press 1 for Always and enter/verify the contact number where the calls will be forwarded.
  3. Press the “Enable” soft key.
  4. To disable call forwarding, press 1 for Always, and press the “Disable” soft key.
