Overview
MMS (Multimedia Messaging) in Business Marketing Messaging lets you send a file attachment (like an image, PDF, or contact card) along with a subject line and message text—helpful for marketing, announcements, and richer customer communications.
How to Send an MMS (Multimedia Message)
Step 1: Open the MMS message builder
- In the left menu, go to Messaging.
- Select New message.
- Choose the Attach message (MMS) tab.
Step 2: Upload your media file
- In the Media section, select Upload file (or drag and drop your file).
- Upload one of the supported file types: .jpg, .png, .gif, .pdf, .vcf.
- Keep the file size within 450KB (maximum accepted size may vary by file format).
Step 3: Add a subject line (optional but recommended)
- Enter a Subject for your MMS.
- (Optional) Use Personalisation fields in the subject line (for example, location or contact details) if your workflow supports it.
Step 4: Write your message content
- Enter the message text that will accompany your attachment.
- (Optional) Use the built-in AI assistant to help draft content to match your attachment.
Step 5: Send your MMS
- Review the attachment, subject, and message content.
- Select Send Now in the bottom-right corner.
Best Practices
- Keep attachments lightweight: Smaller files send more reliably across carriers.
- Make the subject meaningful: Use it to clarify what the attachment is (e.g., “New Menu PDF”, “Event Flyer”, “Your Contact Card”).
- Pair media with a clear CTA: Tell recipients what to do next (reply, call, visit a link, etc.).
Troubleshooting
- I don’t see “Attach message (MMS)”: MMS is not enabled on your account yet. Contact support to have MMS activated.
- My file won’t upload: Confirm the file type is supported (.jpg, .png, .gif, .pdf, .vcf) and the file is within size limits (up to 450KB).
- I’m trying to send MMS from my phone: MMS sending isn’t available in the mobile app—use the web platform.
- I can’t receive MMS replies: Confirm your account has a dedicated number associated with it that supports receiving MMS.
