What's New in Your Phone System
A quick look at the latest update
Your phone system was recently updated. Here's a simple rundown of what's new and what's improved — no technical background needed. Your service provider handles all the installation and setup, so there's nothing you need to do.
What's New
Better Emergency (911) Call Notifications
When a 911 call is placed, the email alert sent to your designated contacts now includes more details about the call, and organizations can customize the subject line so these urgent emails stand out and are easy to spot.
Improved Emergency Address Accuracy (E911)
To help ensure 911 calls are routed to the right location, phones can now be set up to require a valid emergency address before they're activated. This helps make sure emergency responders always have accurate location information if it's ever needed.
Full Call Recording Access in Reports
If your organization records calls, you can now listen to complete call recordings directly from the Call Center Reports screen, without recordings being cut off or unavailable.
Improvements You May Notice
Along with the new features above, this update includes a number of behind-the-scenes fixes. Here are the ones that may affect your day-to-day experience:
- Sign-In: You can now sign in using single sign-on (SSO) after installing the app to your phone or computer's home screen.
- Call History: Long pauses or silences during a call are no longer counted toward its length, so call durations shown in Call History are more accurate.
- Call Recordings: Fixed an issue that prevented some call recordings from loading properly.
- Reporting Accuracy: Fixed issues that could cause inaccurate call transfer statistics and Call Center stats when viewed across different time zones, plus removed duplicate log entries that could skew reported call durations.
- Directory: Contacts with identical first and last names now sort correctly in your company directory.
- Account Cleanup: When an account is closed, its related call queues and phone number labels are now automatically cleaned up behind the scenes.
