How to send outbound faxes in VIP Portal
Procedure

VIP Faxing allows you to send and receive faxes via email, the VIP Portal, or through a physical fax machine, depending on your setup.
Crexendo configures the fax system so that only authorized users can send faxes on behalf of your organization. Customers should provide a list of email addresses of authorized fax senders.
After an authorized user sends a fax, that user will receive periodic fax status emails, such as when the fax is pending or sent successfully.
Sending an Outbound Fax via Email
- Launch the email client and open a new email, then enter the following:

TO: 1 + outgoing ten-digit fax number + @fax.crexendovip.com
EXAMPLE: 15551234567@fax.crexendovip.com
- SUBJECT: Fax Subject

BODY: Cover Page Content

TO: 1 + outgoing ten-digit fax number + @fax.crexendovip.com
- Attach the documents you wish to fax (3 maximum)
- Click the Send button.
After the email has been sent, you will receive an email with a delivery confirmation.
Sending an Outbound Fax from the VIP Portal
- Log in to your VIP Portal.
- Select the Fax button at the top of the screen. This will open your Fax Inbox.
NOTE: If you have received any new faxes, they will appear here. Click the dropdown arrow to see any sent faxes.
- To send an outbound fax, select Send Fax on the right side of the screen. This will open a new dialogue box.
- Click Browse to attach the fax you would like to send. The Caller ID displays your fax number.
- Enter the destination fax phone number.
TIP: This is optional. To add a cover sheet, select Add Cover Sheet and fill in the blanks provided.
- Click Send
To check the status of the fax, either select the dropdown for your Sent faxes or check your email inbox for the confirmation email.
