How To: VIP Group Messaging - Start a New Conversation

Objective

Crexendo VIP Group Messaging provides the platform for your business to send and receive SMS/MMS to/from your clients using several tools including auto responses, drip campaigns, text blasts, reminders, and more.
 

Symptoms

  • How to create a new conversation in using group messaging?
     

Procedure

via Desktop

  1. Select the Conversations button on the left navigation pane.
  2. Select New Conversation from the top right of the screen.

  3. Select a phone number from your contacts. You can choose from your address book.

  4. Compose your message in the space provided. The options to the left will allow you to add an attachment, apply a canned response, apply a drip campaign, configure a signature, or add an emoji. 

  5. Once you are satisfied with your message, select the paper plane icon or (Shift + Enter) to send your message.

You can access the conversation in the future by searching or scrolling through your conversations in the Conversations section.

 
 

via Mobile App

  1. Within the VIP Group Messaging mobile application, select the Conversations option at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select the icon to start a new conversation.
  3. Enter the contact(s) or the phone number(s) in the blank.

    TIP:  If you would like to name the conversation, you can do so from this screen. 

     

  4. Once a valid phone number or contact has been selected, select Start Conversation
  5. Compose your message in the space provided. The options below allow you to add a picture, access your camera, apply a canned response, add a note, or add/configure a signature.

  6. Select to send your message. You can access the conversation in the future by searching or scrolling through your conversations in the Conversations section.
