Introduction
SMS DIDs can be shared between 2 or more users in VIP. This option allows multiple users to see and respond to the same SMS messages/conversations for the same number. This guide provides the steps to enable this for Crexendo Mobile App users in MAMT.
NOTE: This is currently only available in the VIP Mobile App.
Procedure:
- Assign the SMS DID to the user who will be the primary owner of the number. While the number can be shared between multiple users, only the owner of the number can delete SMS conversations.
- Login to the Mobile App Management Tool or MAMT.
- Select “App Management” from the left navigation page.
- Enter the domain you would like to edit.
- Select the user that owns the SMS DID and select the “Options” drop-down menu and select “SMS DID.”
- Confirm the correct SMS DID is listed in the “Users’ SMS DID List.”
- Add an extension that will be sharing the SMS DID in the “Choose User to share SMS DID with” box and select “Add.” Repeat this action with any additional users that will be sharing the number.
- Select “Save” before exiting MAMT.
